From One Incident
to a Movement

In 2004, a CCD staff member suffered a severe spinal cord injury, revealing a stark reality — individuals with disabilities in tribal Gajapati had no pathway to basic services. The MILON network was formed that year. By 2007, SAMARTH was born, registered under the Societies Registration Act, and grew into a full-fledged Vocational Training and Rehabilitation Center by 2017.
